Welcome to Wanderlust Kennels, home of the finest australian shepherds on the simdog network. I'm currently a semi-private breeder striving to improve the australian shepherd breed. I'm working to only produce the best AKC standard blue merle, red merle, red tricolor, & black tricolor australian shepherds on simdog. Here at Wanderlust, we are dedicated to training our dogs to absolute perfection for the show ring. Our dogs were bred to excel in activities, such as conformation and herding, and not only that but they make an excellent companion. We strive for an excellent build in the elbows & hips, a good temperament and high genetic scores. I assure you, if you were to purchase one of our puppies, you will only be getting the best quality dog there is.

When will you be open to the public?: I don't have a set date, but sometime in August or early September. Please let me know if you are interested in breeding aussies, and I may sell you a puppy before I open to the public to get the breed more noticed on the game. Only serious breeders please! I don't want to sell a puppy to you, and you end up quiting the breed after a week.

How often do you have puppies for sale?: Not very often, I like to keep my aussie lines fairly small, so I won't breed more than one or two litters at a time. I'm also a private kennel currently, so you won't see any puppies for sale that are listed unless you contact me about it.

How much do your show/breeding puppies cost?: If you are interested in a good quality aussie puppy before I open to the public, the prices will be around $500 to $1500 dollars depending on the quality. When I open to the public my lines will have improved, and prices will be around $700 to $2500 depending on the quality. I only sell puppies to breeders who show their dogs!

What colors do you carry?: The Australian Shepherd comes in many different colors such as blue merle, red merle, red tricolor and black tricolor.

July 4th, 2013: Happy 4th of July! My upgrades did come today, so I super happy about that. I also finished my layout for this kennel. I think it turned out rather nice. As for Aussie news, I purchased a couple more pups from Infinity Aussies (two back tricolor, a black ticked & a liver tricolor). Also, Kay's second litter of pups were born today, and another red merle girl was born, as well as a red harl. boy. I might sell the boy though, so if your interested contact me. I will only sell this boy to serious australian shepherd breeders!!

July 1st, 2013: Hey guys, so I decided to breed another herding breed with my Shetland Sheepdogs! I was either going to breed Australian Shepherds or Border Collies, but the aussie just stole my heart! I have owned aussies on SDN before, but never really got into breeding them, so I'm excited to actually start getting this breed noticed on the game. I have found some decent stock in the shelter including a red merle female & a liver wus male. Both of these dogs have unknown pedigrees, so I was pretty lucky to have found them. Anyway the female was getting to old, so I breed her on 27th of June (with the liver wus boy) in hopes of another red merle pup. Luckily the pups dropped on the 30th, and a beautiful red merle baby girl was born. I also purchased one black merle & two blue merle puppies from Infinity Aussies, and one female even has blue eyes!

Bo is my first foundation male. I purchased him at the shelter when he was around three years old. He has liver coat with white undersides. He also has beautiful greenish brown eyes & an easy going temperament with no aggression issues. Bo has two qualities, one fualts and scored a sixty-four on his genetics test.

Wanderlust Ride With The Wind "AKA: Sam" genetics: 48/100
Sam is another one of my foundation males. I purchased him at the shelter when he was around two years old. He has a reddish brown coat with white undersides. He also has grey eyes, a short tail & a hyper temperament with slight aggression (aggressive to the judge), but this can be bred out, when bred to the right female. Sam has two qualties, two fualts and scored a fourty-eight on his genetics test.

Wanderlust Red Headed For Trouble "AKA: Dean" genetics: 74/100 SC: 1
Dean is a beautiful red bicolor boy produced here at Wanderlust. He is the son of Wanderlust Rock The Boat & a Nova Scotia female. He has greenish brown eyes, an easy going temperament, and all medium traits on his genetics sheet. Dean has two qualities, two fualts and scored a seventy-four on his genetics test.

Ch. Wanderlust Silver Linings "AKA: Seth" genetics: 63/100 SC: 6
Seth is the last of my male foundation stock. I purchased him at the shelter at when he was just a pup. He has a silver coat with a bicolor pattern. He also has beautiful bright blue eyes, a short tail, and a hyper temperament (known to bite). Seth has two qualities, two fualts and scored a sixty-three on his genetics test.

Ch. Infinity Chasing Mavricks "AKA: Jay" genetics: 72/100 SC: 10
Jay is a beautiful blue merle aussie produced by Infinity Aussies. He has really proven to be an outstanding show dog here at Wanderlust, and I just want to thank Infinity for letting us purchase him. He has brown eyes, an average tail, and an attetive temperament. Jay has two qualties, one fualt and scored a seventy-two on his genetics test.

Infinity Too Hot To Handle "AKA: Shep" genetics: 77/100 SC: 2
Shep is a beautiful liver tricolor aussie produced by Infinity Aussies. Shep's original breeder was planning on keeping this baby boy, but let us have him to help out our red aussie lines. I'd like to thank Infinity for letting us purchase this beautiful boy. He has gorgeous green eyes, all medium traits on his genetics sheet (except for his ears), and a hyper temperament. He is aggressive to the judge, but that can be bred out, when bred to the right female. Shep has two qualties, two fualts and scored a seventy-seven on his genetics test.

Wanderlust Read It And Weep "AKA: Kay" genetics: 62/100 - RIP
Kay is a beautiful red merle foundation girl. I purchaased her at the shelter with a unknown pedigree, when she was around seven years old. I was lucky enough to breed her twice, before her breeding time was up. Thanks to her, I now have two beautiful red merle girls to countinue breeding with. She has red eyes (has been bred out. both of her girls have either green or brown eyes), all medium or large traits on her genetics sheet, and an energentic temperament (known to bite). Known to bite has also been bred out, because neither of her girls have it. Kay has two qualties, two fualts ands scored a sixty-two on her genetic test.

Meet Hannah, the first red merle girl produced here at Wanderlust. Hannah was born to Wanderlust Rock The Boat & Wanderlust Read It And Weep. She was the only red pup out of the five born, so I retained her. She brown eyes, an easy going temperament, and her traits vary from average-large on her genetics sheet. Hannah has two qualties, one fualt and scored a sixty-fiver on her genetics test.

Breeding/Puppy Policies: Here at Wanderlust Kennels, I take each breeding very seriously. My goal here is to improve the breed as much as possible. Before each breeding, I check to make sure the male counters any of the female's flaws, and vis versa. I make sure that each breeding prediction fits the breed standards. Once a breeding is confirmed you can expect the litter within three to four days. At this time, I won't be open for reservations, which means you have to wait until the litter is born, to buy a puppy. 1st pick (also known as POL) stays here, unless I say otherwise. The puppies will stay at our nursery until they are a 1 year old. After the puppies have raised to their final genetic score, & have been entered in a couple shows, I will determine if the puppy is of show/breeding quality. At this time, I will retain the pups I'd like to keep for myself, and the remaining puppies will be available for a limited time only. Any puppy not sold within 10-14 days will be altered, so act fast.

Sale Policies: Before selling a puppy/dog I require that you keep my tag "Wanderlust" in the dogs name until he/she passes. Anybody seen removing my tag from a dog they purchased directly from us, will not be able to purchase another Wanderlust Australian Shepherd ever again. I ensure you, all dogs that are not bred by Wanderlust Kennels, will keep their original tags. If you buy a dog from us which we did not breed, feel free to remove our tag, but if we bred the dog, it is required to keep our tag in the name. Secondly, you must never allow that dog to go to the shelter. We work way too hard to produce quality dogs for them to end up at the shelter. If we find that a dog that we have sold you has ended up in the shelter without any reasonable excuse, you will not be able to purchase another dog from us again. Also, please do not bargain with prices. We price our dogs at a reasonable price for what we think is fair, so please don't ask me to lower them. Another thing, If you do decided to purchase a "SHOW QUALITY" puppy, I require you enter the dog in shows at least 2-3 times a week. I hate seeing a perfectly good show dog without any titles. I personally like to show my dogs everyday if I can, so you should be able to get in a couple shows a week. Finally, Once you have contacted me about purchasing a pup, I will personally check out your kennel, and let you know if your going to be a proud new owner of Wanderlust Australian Shepherd puppy. If you have any further questions feel free to message me at anytime.

Buy-back Policy: If you decide that you no longer want/or are unable to care for your Wanderlust Australian Shepherd, we require that you either find the dog a good home (make sure to contact me, when you have found a buyer), or sell the dog back to us. Unless the dog is still young (under 3 years), we will not refund your entire purchase. We will not pay more than $500 for a dog we sold to you that, you no longer want if the dog is over 4 years old (but under 7 years). So, unless you found a new owner to care for the dog, you will only be refunded for what we think is fair. If the dog is no longer breedable, (over 8 years for females, over 9 years for males) we will pay no more than $250, so again unless you found a new owner to care for the dog, you will only be refunded for what we think is fair. When purchasing a Wanderlust Australian Shepherd puppy, you must agree to this buy-back policy. Although, we usually don't have any problems with this, because most of our buyers provide a loving forever home. But, then again in some cases -- you might quit the breed, quiting the game, no longer want the dog, can't care for the dog, need more room in your kennels, etc...

We currently have a litter of puppies in the nursery. The same parents have been bred again, and six pups were born on the fouth of July. These pups will be available at the nursery this upcoming Wednesday.

Future Breedings

I don't have a set date for these breedings, but I usually tend to breed first litters at around 3-4 years of age.

- will produce black puppies with bicolor or tricolor patterns (50% short tails, 50% average tails)

Infinity Chasing Mavricks x Infinity Won't You Be Mine
- will produce black or blue puppies with merle patterns (50% short tails, 25% blue eyes)

The majority of dogs that we have sold are either young adults or puppies. We only like to breed 1-2 litters every two weeks, so you'll only find a few who are up for purchase at one time. Each puppy will be raised to their highest potential genetic scores, before we place them in a new home. If you buy a Australian Shepherd from us, we ask that you first read our Polices before you request to purchase a pup.

Breeding Quality: A breeding quality pup is a puppy that meets its breed standards. Keep in mind that a breeding quality puppy does not always mean it will do great in show, it just means is has the correct breed standard traits. (Meaning it has the perfect color & pattern, temperament, or eye color for breeding)

Show Quality: A show quality pup is a puppy that does well in shows and can be easily finished, and earn its Ch. title. Although, show quality pups are not always going to be breeding quality. (Sometimes a dog will have a high genetic score, but its maybe coloring is off.)

Pet Quality: A pet quality puppy is a dog that does not meet its breed standards. A puppy that is neither show or breeding quality. In this case the color or pattern could be off, off eye color, the dog could be to big or to small but it all depends on the breed. If you are interested in purchasing one of my puppies for your lines that meet the breed standards then I would recommend buying a show quality or breeding quality puppy. Pet quality puppies are strictly for pets only, and will be fixed before going to their new homes.

Puppy Pricing

Here at Wanderlust we breed for only the best quality, and our puppies are priced based on what we think is fair. All show & breeding quality puppies are priced somewhere between $700-$2500 depending on the traits the puppy has. For example, if I had a red merle pup & a red ticked pup for sale, the merle pup would be priced higher, because of its correct pattern. This goes for all the traits.
