Hey guys, just a public announcement: as of 6/21/2012, Stonebriar Kennels has closed its doors. I have grown tired of the disrespect and rudeness that the SDN community has harvested, which has made the game no longer enjoyable for me. I am also having major time constraints due to jobs and school, so online drama and disrespect is the last thing that I need to be dealing with. If you see my dogs in the shelter, feel free to pick them up. I would of course love for you to keep my tag in their names, but considering the way that SDN has been running, I highly doubt that will happen and I am fine with that. I wish you all the best of luck in your endeavors, and for those of you who would like to remain in contact, go ahead and message me on here and I can provide you with a more viable way of contacting me. Thanks for the ride, guys.

est. 2007
Welcome to Stonebriar Kennels, where we strive to produce the best Border Collies for showing and breeding as possible. We hold very high standards for our dogs, and expect nothing less. We stress good movement and impressive build of the elbows and hips, and consider these traits to be the most important. Secondly, we concentrate on behavior. Our Border Collies are energetic and hyper, but easily controlled and trained - perfect for any kind of work or sport. We breed mainly classic colors - Black and Blue Bi and Tri Colors and Black and Blue W/u - but we have also taken many expeditions into the wonderful world of colored Border Collies, including Red, Grey, Brown, Liver, Golden, Fawn, and Sable. Since its founding in 2007, Stonebriar Kennels has been built on hard work, dedication, research, careful planning, and a whole lot of love and responsibility.
This Kennel is our main kennel, and is located in the beautiful countryside of Bath, England. Here, we house our main line. Our main show dogs, breeding stock, and uprising stars from our Border Collie line live here, as this is the location of our main training facilities. Here in Bath, we have many acres of spacious land for the dogs to excersise out on, as well as large indoor kennels and runs, not to mention the main house. Our retirement kennels are located along the coastline of Canterbury. Once our Border Collies have retired from both showing and breeding, they are moved to Canterbury to live out the rest of their lives. Our main sales kennels are located nearby in Bristol, so if you are looking for dogs for sale, don't miss out on seeing what he have avalaible there!
Because of the size of our kennels, we are making active use of 3 seperate kennel blocks for our Border Collies. You are currently viewing Kennel Block A, where our lovely ladies are located. All of our brood bitches will be here, as will our girls who have been retired from breeding but are UKC registered and are still actively showing. To view our boys, please visit Kennel Block B; to visit our boys and girls who have been retired from both breeding and showing, please visit Kennel Block C. Stonebriar Kennels also has its paws in several ventures abroad: our Scottish Terrier line is located at Neverland, and our Samoyed line is located at Renaissance Kennels.

Here at Stonebriar Kennels, we have always focused on one breed - the magnificent, hard-working Border Collie. From their gentle, loyal nature to their dedication and intelligence in the work force, the Border Collie is an all-around package dog, whether they are needed for a family pet, a working herder, a show champion, or an event competitor. Stonebriar Kennels has always focused on breeding our Border Collies to excel in any and all situations that they are put in. We have always taken pride in our Border Collies, who have proven themselves time and time again. Even the lines that we established years ago are still prominent in the pedigrees and genetics of the Border Collies on SDN today.
While at out kennels, our Border Collies are trained in herding, agility, and flyball. Stonebriar Border Collies are also actively shown in arena shows against other herding breeds. One of the highest honors for a Stonebriar Border Collie is to join our ranks of UKC registered dogs as well as earn further champion titles. Stonebriar Kennels is proud to hold the record of both owning and breeding the most club registered purebred Border Collies. We strive to match litters together that will not only score top genetics, but who will also be a strong force in the show ring.
Stonebriar Kennels is also proud to boast correct genetic traits throughout our dogs. We focus on both classic and rare colored border collies, all of which are acceptable by club standards. We focus on dominant medium genes in the ears, nose, coat length, height, and tail. All of our Border Collies have full genetic tables. We do not allow any genetic disqualifications in our Border Collies, nor do we accept any behavioral vices. We stand by the guarantee that if a Border Collie has claim the Stonebriar name, it will be of the highest breed quality possible.

Stonebriar Deceased
Throughout the course of Stonebriar Kennels, many great and fantastic dogs have passed away after serving many wonderful years here at the kennels. Because Stonebriar Kennels has been in operation for so long, there are simply too many wonderful dogs to list, but we wish to give them all a farewell tribute that is worthy of the services they have provided us. So for all of the magnificent Border Collies who have made their mark on Stonebriar Kennels - that'll do, boys and girls, that'll do

Dog News
5/25/12 - Stonebriar *Giovanna d'Arco, our 92g girl, passed away yesterday, bringing our count of 90g dogs fown from 3 to 2. Stonebriar *L'ange de Nisida, our highest gened dog at 93/100g, has been producing some marvelous puppies, and Stonebriar The Rose at Castille, our 91/100g Red girl, will be bred for the first time this week, and is also only 2 wins away from being UKC registered. This weeks litters also produced multiple 80g pups, both male and female, and we are excited to introduce these lovely pups into our lines. In news abroad, SBK at Neverland is working with Scottish Terriers to bring the breed up to AKC standards, and we are having enormous success. Our newest venture, SBK at Renaissance Kennels, will be working with the Samoyed to bring the breed up to AKC standards. For more information on either of these projects, feel free to message us!
4/19/12 - Again, I apologize for the lack of updates. I am about to head into tech week for my current show, which basically means that I am at the theatre all of the time - basically only breaking for actual classes/coursework and a few hours of sleep every now and then. So, SDN has taken quite the back burner. However, even with these time constraints, Stonebriar Kennels will still stay open and active. We are however making massive cuts to our kennels and culling any dog that does not reach the very top of our standards. We may also be dropping our red line, but that is currently undecided. In good news, we produced another 90g pup today, Stonebriar L'ange de Nisida, out of Stonebriar Adelaide and by Stonebriar Admeto. Nisida is a gorgeous Black Bi-Color female who scored 2 qualities, 0 faults, and 93/100 genetics. She has one recessive Mm trait, but other than that, her genetics are practically perfect, and we are extremely pleased to have her as an addition to our kennel! Also, we are working on a massive overhaul on our kennels, so please bear with us while we stir up a little dust!
4/5/12 - Sorry for the lack of updates. I have been extremely busy lately with school and theatre, so I haven't had as much time to spend on here. Our lines are coming along wonderfully, including our Red line. We will most likely be integrating our Red line into our main line within the next month. We haven't had as much time to show lately, but a few of our home-bred dogs have been able to be registered, including Stonebriar *La scuola degli amanti, Stonebriar *Yerma, and Stonebriar *Le roi de Lahore. Stonebriar *La Cenicienta also recieved her 10th Show Champion, earning her the title of CHampion. In more sad news, our greatest dog to date,Stonebriar *GCH Don Pasquale passed away at the age of 15. Don Pasquale was not our highest gened dog, as he stood at 2Q 1F and 78/100 genetics, but he was most definitely our best show dog and stud dog. As a stud, he produced exquisite pups, including several registered pups and our magnificent Stonebriar *Giovanna d'Arco, our 92/100 gene girl. As a show dog, Don Pasquale was uncomparable, with a whopping 32 Show Champions and 34 Best of Breed titles, as well as around 10 other top 3 finishes. It was certainly a sad day to see our wonderful Pasquale go, but his legacy still definitely lives on within Stonebriar Kennels. That'll do, Pasquale, that'll do.

Stonebriar Kennels takes pride in its breeding program, a program that has been established through hard work, dedication, extensive research, and lots of planning. In order to continue the Stonebriar legacy, we often match our Border Collies together, in order to produce what we believe to be fool-proof combinations for high-quality litters. In order to keep up with the breed, we are often mating our Border Collies, however, each mating requires extensive planning and research, and we never breed unless we are absolutely certain that the litter will produce top-quality pups.
Stonebriar Kennels currently operates as a semi-private kennel. This means that we will occasionally take reservations for pups, but any potential pup buyer will have to be approved by our kennel staff before being allowed to purchase a pup from Stonebriar. Any pup that does not meet the Stonebriar standard will be altered. Any pup or dog offered for sale that is not spoken for within 7-14 days will be altered and re-homed for show purposes only. Unaltered pups from Stonebriar Kennels should not be available for adoption from anywhere other than Stonebriar Kennels or a kennel who bought the pup directly from our kennels.
If you are interested in reserving a pup from Stonebriar Kennel,s be sure to read our kennel policies. After that, feel free to ask any questions concerning specific litters. Check the specific litter status to see if pups are avilable from that litter, then feel free to contact us about the specific litter. Stonebriar Kennels adheres to the following litter status guidelines:
Litter Reservation Terms
Open - this reservation is open for all breeders to reserve from
Closed - this reservation is not open to any breeder
Limited - this reservation IS open, however, we cannot guarantee that all reservations will be filled. This case is usually when a brood bitch is whelping for the first time, so we are unsure as to what size litters she will produce
Private - this reservation is open ONLY to specific Border Collie breeders which we have pre-approved - please contact us to see if you qualify for this list

Stonebriar Kennels is first and foremost a kennel focused on the improvement of the Border Collie breed and raising our dogs to fulfill and exceed breed standards - we are not simply a puppy business. In fact, we do not even consider ourselves to be a business at all, as we are more focused on our dogs continuing a legacy and having the best care as possible, rather than making money. Therefore, we do not always have dogs for sale. In fact, unless we have an upcoming litter, it is rather rare for a Stonebriar dog to be offered up for sale. However, we will occasionally offer our dogs for sale, whether they are too closely related to other dogs in our kennel, or if they have served us well thus far but we feel they would be better off at another kennel, or for other reasons. When this situation arises, purchasing these dogs will not simply mean clicking a button. We will perform an analysis report on all interested buyers, in order to ensure that our dogs are going to the best homes possible. This same procedure will take place when Stonebriar pups are offered for sale.
Currently, Stonebriar Kennels is operating under a semi-private label. This means that we will very rarely be selling dogs, and when we do, we will only sell to certain approved buyers. For the most part, we will not be taking reservations on any litters, but if we do, it will once again only be open to pre-approved breeders.
If and when we offer any adult dogs for sale, we will set them at a price that we believe is reasonable - we will accept no less for it, unless previous arrangements are made (which is unlikely to happen). Please do not try to talk us down on any price. We will offer the adult up for sale for 7-14 RT days. If a dog is not sold within this time, it will be altered and sent to the shelter.

Stonebriar Kennels has been built on years of hard work and dedication, through numerous failed attempts and successful tries, and through a love and devotion for the breed that we raise. Over the years, we have set many policies into motion here at Stonebriar, policies that we uphold religiously, and will bend for no one.
Breeding/Pup Policies: Before breeding, we compare every possible combination, choosing one that we believe is a foolproof recipe for success. Once bred, we will decide whether or not we will accept reservations on the litter. If we decide to open the litter up to other breeders, we will begin the reservation/breeder selection process. When pups are born, they stay with their mother for a minimum of 6 months, who is shown during that time. Afterwards we wean them and keep them for an additional 8 months, working to improve their qualities. Once they are 1 year, 2 months old, we will release them to their new owners. Typically, we breed on Saturdays for Monday/Tuesday pups or Sundays for Tuesday/Wednesday pups, so that the pups are at the prime age for genetics raising on Thursdays.
Showing Policies: Our dogs are continually shown, all in their proper classes. Club registration is our ultimate showing goal, and we work hard to acheive that status. We try to show every day, while taking a day off every now and again to give our dogs a rest. One of the highest honors for a Stonebriar dog is to join our hall of fame ranks of UKC registered Border Collies. Stonebriar proudly holds the record for the most club registered Border Collies at any one time, and we strive to uphold this honor. We also follow champion title rules, and to reach the title of CHampion or GCHampion is the ultimate achievement for a Stonebriar Border Collie.
Care Policies: Stonebriar Kennels provides nothing but the best care for our dogs. Specially formulated diets are created for each dog, and only the finest materials are used. Our dogs are fully groomed every day, as well as have check-ups every day, and routine shots every week. Specialized vitamins and treatments, such as coat vitamins, eye drops, and extra dental care, are given to those who are in need of it. Our dogs are played with, exercised, and rested daily. All pups are trained using various methods, all tested to prove which ones are most effective for that particular dog, daily, until they are 2 years of age. At Stonebriar Kennels, we do not treat our dogs as simply an investment, or "some show animal" - at Stonebriar, they are family!
Sale policies: Once we have bred two dogs, we will usually offer a few of the pups for sale, as well as the occasional adult. However, because so much work has gone into our dogs, we will not let them go to just any home, we do have a few requirements for buyers. Firstly, you must leave Stonebriar or SBK in the name of the dog, where you have it is your preference (front, middle, back). Secondly, you must never allow that dog to go to the shelter. We work too hard to keep our dogs top quality for them to simply end up at the shelter. If we find that a dog that we have sold you has ended up in the shelter without a viable excuse, you as a kennel will be blacklisted on our sales list, either temporarily or permenantly. Also, we do not require it, but we advise that you not cross our dogs with another breed. While we are not against crossbreds, we do not encourage them with our stock. Our dogs have pure lines so far back on their pedigrees, we feel it best to keep their lines pure. Also, please do not haggle over prices. The price we are asking for a dog is set in stone, and we will not lower it, so please do not ask. We price our dogs on what we think is fair, and therefore will stand by it. Also, do not ask to buy a dog and/or pup that isnot for sale. If we have a litter of pups and have not yet specified what pups are avaliable, do not message us asking for a specific pup. Once we say who is avaliable, feel free to inquire about pups that are available. Do not however expect us to sell you a dog that is not for sale, because we will not. We have every right to retain any dog and/or pup, and begging for a pup that we have decided to retain will not change our minds about it - it will only change our minds about whether or not you are actually a reputable buyer. For the most part, as long as you are a responsible owner, and promise to care for the dog, you should have no problem with being welcome as a buyer to Stonebriar Kennels.
Adoption Policies: Stonebriar Kennels often, usually once a week, makes shelter runs to find new blood to infuse into our line. We generally adopt dogs who are either shelter-made or have been in the shelter for some time, but occasionally, we may pick up a dog that ended up in the shelter "by accident". If this happens, and you were the previous owner of the dog, do not ask for it back. We believe that once dogs go to the shelter, they are free game for all. If any of our dogs go to the shelter and are picked up by others, we do not ask for nor do we expect to get them back, and therefore we adhere to those rules on the opposite side of the situation as well. So, unless you are a close friend of ours and/or we have worked out the details of the adoption mix-up previously, we will most likely not give "your" dog back to you. We apologize for any inconvenience, but gifting back dogs is simply too much of a hassle and a complication for us, and we do not feel that it is necessary or ethical in any case.
Spay/Neuter Policies: We are a semi-private line: this means that in order to purchase a Stonebriar Border Collie, it must be purchased directly from us, or from someone who purchased it directly from us. Most SDN breeders are usually approved to purchase from Stonebriar Kennels (see our Sale Policies for more information); this goes for both reserving and/or purchasing a pup or buying an adult who we have decided to cut from our lines. However, you will never see an intact Stonebriar Border Collie directly from our kennels in the shelter. When pups are offered for sale, we give them one week to be purchased by other breeders. After that week is up, we will alter the dog before letting it go to the shelter. Adult dogs will be offered for sale for two weeks, and if they have not been spoken for within that two-week time span, they will be altered and sent to the shelter as well. Our dogs have had a lot of work put into them, and we would prefer for our dogs to be put to proper use that we approve of. Any altered Stonebriar Border Collie found in the shelter may of course still be shown, but it will not be able to be used for breeding purposes. Stonebriar Border Collies have the capacity to pass on the high quality genes of Stonebriar Kennels, and we want to make sure that they are being properly used as breeding stock, and not simply being picked up from the shelter and used to breed randomly. If you purchase a dog directly from us, we ask that you do not alter the dog, unless you have a valid reason for doing so. Altering a breedable dog purchased directly from us violates the Code of Quality of Stonebriar Border Collies as well, in the sense that you are taking away the ability for them to be responsibly bred after we have accepted you as a reliable breeder. The only exception to this rule is if the dog has already exceeded the breeding age limit (8y for bitches, 9y for dogs).
Tag Policies: Here at Stonebriar Kennels, we are extremely strict about tags being left in names. We believe that credit must be given where credit is due, and as such will ensure that all of our dogs not bred by Stonebriar Kennels retain their original tag, whether we bought the pup from the breeder, another breeder, or the shelter. If we bought a dog from you and you did not breed, we will not keep your tag in it - we will change the tag to the breeder's tag, so that they may get credit for the dog that they produced. All of our dog's are named in the following format "Stonebriar tag name". Stonebriar will always go in the front of the dog's name - we are sorry if you want your tag first, but in order to keep our kennels clean and organized and to have a uniform pattern with all of our dogs, the prefix Stonebriar will always be the first word in the dog's name. Following our prefix will be your tag, in bold, so that it is easily definable as the breeder's tag. The tag will then be transcribed into the possesive form - meaning, your tag will be followed by a " 's" to show that your tag has claim to the dog. When it comes to our tag, you MUST keep our tag in any dog's name that comes from Stonebriar lines. If you buy a dog from us which we did not breed, feel free to remove our tag, but if we bred the particular dog, it is required to keep our tag, "SBK", in the name. You may place our tag anywhere in your dog's name, whether it be front, middle, or back. Where is completely your preference, as long as it is in there. If we see that you have a pup that we bred and you do not have our tag in the name, we will message you and ask you to please replace the tag in the pup's name. If you refuse, you will most likely be blacklisted, either temporarily or permenantly.

Stonebriar Kennels is run by me, Sarah. It was established in 2007, and although I have taken several breaks from SDN, I seem to always return. Time is not always on my side however, so give me a bit of room there. I am a senior at Austin College in Sherman, TX. I am majoring in Theatre and English. On campus, I am involved in the ongoing theatre events, am an active member and President of the Nu Kappa cast of the Alpha Psi Omega National dramatic fraternity, participate in both the A Cappella Choir and the female vocal group Descant, and I am also a member of the Austin College Improv Troupe. We perform 3-4 shows a semester, improvising everything. I am also a peer tutor, a tour guide, and an admissions representative for the school. In addition, this year I have taken on a senior-directed main stage production and a senior honors thesis. I have been dating the love of my life for 3 1/2 years, and we have been engaged since October of 2013. Above all else, he is my best friend. I'm usually pretty chill to talk to, so if you have any questions, comments, concerns, or just want to talk, feel free to shoot me a message!
