Breeding Just To Breed?

Latley I have noticed that a few players on the game are breeding litters, just to produce puppies and well... make a profit, thats not even being made. This upsets me and I feel like I want to confront them and be all like "yo, stop breeding so many dogs!"

Anyway... I really want to know what you guys think about this. Are you ok, sad, confused about it?

I totally agree. There are so many puppies being bred and sent to the shelter...
And as soon as they go to the shelter, the female is bred again!

Ya i know this is happening. Some ppl are trying to start/create a line so the dogs that they cant use they send to the shelter and i understand that but some ppl are also breeding for no reason.

Yeah I totally agree, people should only breed if the breeding will help bost the breeds standards on SDN.

To start off, some puppies that are sub-par are going to be born. I plan on altering mine and sending to the shelter just so they can't be rebred for no reason.

I am breeding Shelties soon to IMPROVE the breed, not just to have puppies.

Like I saw a person breeding affenpinschers, the puppies were all white or golden haraqwin and all of them had less them 30g...and the put them up for SALE for 600sc each...i mean come on!

Yeah, I've noticed that as well. 

Lets make something very clear, New Members and Rare breed Breeders Will never make it if they rely strictly on selling puppies. No One can make their entire profit off of pups unless they are A) Really good breeders with great dogs, or B) Have GSDs that are intact for sale.

The best way to gain money is by showing your dogs consistantly. I usually see people saying "they dont do well in shows" but you know, if your dog wins 1st in a show then it wins 500 credits. You only spent 100 to get them into show. I regularly drain my accounts of money and put it onto one account so that I maight challenge my self a bit more. Last week I had 200 on an account full of dogs, its up to 4K now and they arnt the best how dogsa either, they are placers as I like to call them, since they always just place somewhere and not win or lose.

If anyone had ever been breeding mini schnauzers here before, they really messed it up.. I have 3 I bred right now, just to try to produce something to work with took forever to find genetic material that even resenmbled mini schnauzer standard . 

I'm hoping in a few generations i can get a decent line going . but the base material is really bad and almost all of them have horrible temperments an albino eyes :(

I did manage to find a black and a few black and silvers . so i'm hoping that I can get some good puppies i'm currently going thru the stock and altering evertything that has no chance to produce a boog dog.

I've been seeing this alot lately, but even though they are virtual dogs, they still seem as if they were real dogs.

I have noticed too, I got a particulary good male Border Collie with no faults but I won't breed him right off the bat when he comes of age! My dogs must prove the right of producing offspring! Most unusual colored Border Collies I don't breed, since their coats are not show quality.
